I start a new class soon!!! :)
I decided to continue with the Tracey Clark workshops on BigPictureClasses. It starts January 1st the day after the Picture the Holidays ends. Gonna be tough while I'm traveling especially AWAY from the snow (haha) but it's going to happen. :)

Catching up after Christmas time.
Had a really good Christmas but didn't have my camera out too much. We set the GPS up and apparently I was wrong... -_- so Anthony ended up driving us to the edge of Switzerland and we had a nice little view of the foothills of the Alps. The snow make for a great set of pictures especially since the sun came out for a while. I didn't really have my camera out at all except the ride on the way there and the ride on the way back, I don't know why but that's about the only time I have it out when I'm in Germany and with Anthony...I kind of disappoint myself when I'm around people with my camera not being out as much. Oh well.... Here is the recap for the past few days of pictures for the workshop:
Day 23: Life is Sweet
Made some Ritz Peanut Butter Sammiches dipped in white chocolate. I found the idea off of a really neat blog and they were very very delicious.
Day 24: Enchantment
Day 25: This Magic Moment
The prompt for the day was to capture basically the people you are with. Again like I have said, I didn't keep my camera out at all around everyone except on the way there and back, this is one of the pictures I got of Anthony on the way back because he is the one person I spent the entire holidays with.
Day 26: The Morning After:
Anthony and I didn't get any of our gifts in yet because of the mail (besides the ones his sister got for us which was nice, but we only brought back one bag for both of our things so it's packed full now) so I took a picture of some wrapping paper that was laying on the ground in the house and then I decided to shoot what I was eating because the fact that I have been eating cookie after cookie after cookie and lots and lots of wine so today is hot tea and salad. (That's my new mug from Anthony's sister, convenient because I really needed one).
Day 27: A Breath of Fresh Air

Day 22: Rest
Today we are our prompt is to take a break and rest....even for a minute. I have lots of baking planned for today so this was kind of harder to do. Now off to get some cookies and little treats made!!!

Day 21: Attitude Adjustment
This one is probably the hardest one for me to do because I don't really know what kind of "attitude" I put off. This is suppose to show a "sassy" side of us I suppose but I am not sure if I grasped it... oh well I at least got a shot of something right!!!

Day 20: Wrapped with love
Sunday, December 19, 2010
Catching you up with "Picture the Holidays" Day 1 is at the bottom :)
Day 19: Make a List. Today I feel horrible. I have had a sore throat for the past week so when we went shopping I stocked up and rested today.

| Day 18: Recharge: I decided to relax and bake cookies with Anthony. I made the dough and the icing from scratch. Very proud of myself for remembering the eggs this time. :) |
Day 17: Warm Glow: Prompt was to light a candle and take a shot of it. I used this Chiminaya that was in the house and got a really great result with the Bokeh Christmas tree lights behind it :).
Day 16: The Season of Lights. Bokeh Christmas tree lights. Christmas is the season of lights and lights are great to experiment with when taking pictures :)
Day 15: Got Gifts? Today was about making a gift tag for the gifts we are giving to people. The fact that I'm traveling right now in Germany means that I don't have my printer or printer paper or anything to create tags with so I just took a picture I could use for next year :)
Day 14: Sincerely Yours. This is the time of year that keeps handwritten cards alive, we were suppose to capture a shot of something handwritten to or from us, I luckily had bought a few postcards to send off recently, I usually don't work in Photoshop but this one turned out pretty good.
Day 13: Simply Divine. Tree's and skylines fascinate me. I love the intertwining of all of the tree branches and how they look chaotic but no matter what you see the base through all of it.
Day 12: A Whole lot of Happy. Smiling is contagious, capture someone smiling at you today.
Day 11: Shaping Up. Look at things a little differently. The first photo of the tree reminds me of little chickens feet running around the sky and the second one sort of looks little like a scarecrow or a man with a farmers hat on.

Day 10: Twinkle, Twinkle.
Day 9: It's a sign. A tattoo I have: "Carpe Diem" Seize the Day, nice reminder to not take anything for granted and live life to it's fullest. Second one is Ever Wonder? Thought the bread was a nice little touch to a very well known question.
Day 8: Reflecting the Season. Find reflective surfaces and capture something off of it.
Day 7: Express yourself. Capture yourself the way you feel today. I had to do laundry and I got really hyper and lazy at the same time. These are the shots I got :) First shots I got to put up on the site because I was a little late on starting the class.
Day 6: Every Little Thing. It's the small things that really mean the most. I got some leftovers of snowflakes.
Day 5: The View from here. It was a REALLY snowy day.
Day 4: You hold the key. Capture something that helps you calm down. I decided that my objects were my ring from Anthony, if I don't have it on I basically lose my mind, my iPod because I love music (and the song title just worked so great with the photo) and sometimes a nice glass of wine is much needed.
Day 3: All you need is love. Finding hearts everywhere. I took a little bit of time to set the marshmallows in there one by one with my finger and a spoon. Needless to say I had some cold "hot" chocolate afterwards but I think the shot turned out great.
Day 2: Reframing the Season. I decided to reframe my hobby. I have lost sight of where I want to be and this is a great time to refocus myself.
Day 1: Holding onto Gratitude. Capture something you are thankful for. I am in Germany for two months visiting Anthony. I haven't seen him in such a long time what with deployment and him being stationed over seas and all so my time here is great, not to mention the snow is an awesome added touch, big scenery change from Texas.
what to say
I have no clue how to start this thing out besides with a sigh of relief. I definitely am excited about starting this, because it means I have finally made a decision; a decision to move forward and a decision on a name. Here I am, I am here to stay, let's see how this goes...
First thing, I am a traveler, currently sitting in the living room lit only by the Christmas tree, tv, and computer screen at midnight. I have been taking a photography workshop online with BigPictureClasses. My first class/workshop is Picture the Holiday. All this blog will be good for, for now at least, is to upload each photo I take for the daily prompts. Here goes nothing!
